Guidelines for Creating a Voluntour Trip

Process for Submitting a “Voluntour Group Trip” for Consideration through Manifest Foundation

If you know of a reputable non-profit organization in the US or another country, that is aligned with the Mission of Manifest Foundation (see Our Mission) and would like to create a Manifest Foundation Voluntour for your GROUP to attend, please FIRST read the Guidelines below and then complete and submit the “Voluntour Group Request Application” with the link provided on this page.

Considerations:

• The organization will need to provide their Financial Accountability and Non-Profit status verification (via email), and be willing to speak with a Manifest Foundation representative. (No Exceptions)
• You and the Organization will need to provide general ideas of what type of service the organization can provide, and what type of projects they would offer for the group to be engaged with.
• You will need to determine what VoluntourTrip “LEVEL” this trip will be categorized as. (Click here for descriptions)
• Provide a range of the amount that you would like each person attending to pay as a Service Project Fee (this supports the organization to provide a quality experience and covers the costs of materials and supplies needed).  This Voluntour Service Project Fee will be discussed by Manifest Foundation and the Partnering Organization, added to your trip, and will be required payment from all trip participants attending the Service Project portion of your trip.  This will vary depending on activities desired and the needs of the organization.
• Allow up to 4 weeks for proper communications to take place between Spryte Loriano (Manifest Foundation Executive Director) and the lead contact for the organization requested. Please understand that based on our organizations mission and criteria for greatest success, not all organizations can be vetted for a Voluntour; however we will do our best to assist you in locating an organization that can be for the greatest outcome to your trip!

Benefits of Vetting your Group Voluntour Trip through the Manifest Foundation

For You:

• Most people do not have sufficient experience working with non-profit organizations, (especially in third world countries) nor understanding the complex nature that exists to ensure accountability.  By being in partnership with Manifest to vet your voluntour experience, you ensure a better chance of your participants having a greater experience, especially and most importantly, if you want to do this trip more than once!
• We will help you ensure that there is a sustainable nature to the impact you are creating versus a one-time impact, which will provide you greater pride, results you can show others, and therefore gain more buy-in for repeated trips.
• Better assurance of safety for you and your group.
• Being Highlighted on the Manifest Foundation website.

For the Organization:

• They receive more assurance of the group's credibility and the potential for a long term relationship that fits THEIR needs successfully.  Often time’s groups can unknowingly cause damage to the organization or community in ways unrealized to the less seasoned voluntour organizer.
• Greater success of the voluntour creates greater results for the organization.
• Promotion on the Manifest Foundation website as a vetted voluntour impact organization provides additional exposure of their impact.
• Assurance that the travelers have received a Voluntour Training by Manifest Foundation on proper behavior, etiquette, attire, and safety instructions which supports their efforts.
• In some cases Manifest Foundation through its broad and reputable contacts of organizations and individuals can provide additional assistance in serving their long term goals.

For The Manifest Foundation Donor Community and its Sponsoring Partners:

• Taking the time to work with The Manifest Foundation in building a voluntour helps maintain the integrity of the name, branding and product of our Sponsoring Organizations (ie, WorldVentures, Rovia) in the media and throughout the business community worldwide.
• As much as we like to think all organizations are honest and reputable, cases are numerous, especially in third world countries, where donation money is misused, or the organization takes advantage of unsuspecting travelers who just want to "do good."  By vetting the organization, it helps the entire Donor Community to share a unified story of the sustainable impact we are making with organizations who provide us clear results for our generosity.
• We want to be known as an educated and conscientious community of voluntour travelers which supports the future growth and reputation of our associated companies and partnerships.
