The Manifest Foundation Helps Nicaraguan Families

In yet another outreach event, volunteers from the Manifest Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the mission of helping communities worldwide through “voluntourism” service trips, made significant efforts to improve the quality of life for 100 children and families in two impoverished regions in Nicaragua: La Paz and La Primavera.  Collaborating with Compas de Nicaragua, a nonprofit promoting cultural exchange and community development, Manifest volunteers participated in a nine-day, eight-night full-immersion trip to support two programs: Women in Action (WIA) and the Brothers and Sisters Cooperative.

“The biggest accomplishment of this program is in bringing people together, creating friendships and understanding,” says Compas de Nicaragua Director Michael Boudreau. “The Manifest Foundation brought open minds and hearts and a ton of energy. One of the volunteers also raised $1,000 to contribute to our programs.”  Read More >>

Interview on NPR with Hall of Famer, Nancy Lieberman and two "Littles" from BigBrothers BigSisters Las Vegas on the effects of Mentoring and the expansion of Manifest Foundation/WorldVentures DreamCourts!

At-risk kids in Las Vegas will have the chance to go toe-to-toe with basketball stars at a local camp.  For the "Hoops and Hugs" two-hour event, aspiring basketball players can play ball with two-time Olympian (and former WNBA coach and player) Nancy Lieberman and former Chicago Bulls player (and assistant coach) Mike Brown.  We talk to Coach Lieberman and some young basketball players.
