About Us

The Manifest Foundation, formally launched in the Spring of 2010, has been created to support organizations which specifically aid children by helping create strong foundations for health, education, and mentorship as well as contributing to the financial support which is so desperately needed.  True to the tenets of the Foundation, WorldVentures launched the inaugural Manifest Foundation effort...a “Voluntourism” DreamTrip, which afforded those making use of their vacation time the opportunity to give a portion of their time and/or money to help build schools in impoverished areas of Central America.  This project, in partnership with the Manifest Foundation, was lead by the global not-for-profit organization Hug it Forward and Peace Corps Volunteers.

“We want to help positively affect the lives of as many needy children as possible throughout the world,” commented Eddie Head, WorldVentures’ Chief Strategy Officer.  “And with the Manifest Foundation, it’s very easy for us to make a huge impact.”

The Bottle School Project provides permanent classroom structures for children who have none.  Instead of using cinder blocks to build school walls, “ecoblocks” are used.  WorldVentures staff, members, and Representatives help the community craft these ecoblocks by stuffing discarded plastic bottles with bags and other insulating trash.  The ecoblocks are then stacked in between chicken wire before being covered in a cement and sand mixture.  This method of construction is both eco-friendly and economical, and independent structural analysis has testified to the strength and safety of the buildings.

The Manifest Foundation and Hug It Forward share the common belief that with the opportunities provided by education, children will be able to lift themselves and their families out of a cycle of poverty, malnutrition, and disease.

In another ambitious program, The Manifest Foundation, in partnership with the Nancy Lieberman Foundation and Sport Court®, launched the “DreamCourts” project.  The DreamCourts project is a public outreach program that provides resources to erect modular basketball courts in areas that cannot financially support the construction of new recreational facilities for young people.  This state-of-the-art construction method is inexpensive, hard-wearing, and allows for installation in hours instead of weeks.  The partnered foundations continuously endeavor to earn the support of friends in media, sports, and government to create a destination for kids who otherwise would have no outlet for sports or after school activities.  The program promotes an active and healthy lifestyle, and encourages team play to be an integral part of their daily activities.

With these efforts well under way and the ambitious plans for future work through the Manifest Foundation, WorldVentures’ tagline of “Make a living… Living!” has been aptly rephrased to “Make a living…Giving!”
